As a wedding hair stylist I must say that, the biggest dilemma I see amongst the long hair brides on their wedding day is whether they should wear their hair up or down. I mean that is such a personal choice. I believe the hairstyle you pick should reflect not only your own personal style, but should also leave you feeling stunning. By the way, the same rules apply with makeup. YOU MUST FEEL STUNNING.
That being said, when one of my brides truly can’t decide between the up-do and the down-do, I suggest a half-up, half-down wedding hairstyle. This may just be the right compromise to enable you to showcase a romantic, timeless style while making sure your hair is somewhat gathered and held together for the long day ahead.
Half-up half-down wedding hairstyles, whether off to the side or straight back, will not only last a longer in terms of curl retention, especially if you include some clip in hair extensions, but will also keep you a little cooler which is always a plus when having a beachy wedding! These styles are classy and beautiful and can be done in such a way that achieves nearly every style you find most appealing to you.
There are so many things we can do to make sure that your hairstyle suits you perfectly. Inclusion of braids, hair accessories, flowers, hair clips, and combs are perfect to enhance a partially pulled up ‘do. These details can truly add the final touch to really make it your own.
These are some of the hair styles that I’ve done recently that make my list of favorites.
PS. You might see sum of this styles on the pages of other Key West hair and makeup businesses that is because I have done sum free lance work for many in this town. Now days I don’t do it any more!!!

Choosing the ‘right’ wedding hairstyle is tough at the best of times. When it coms to bridal hair styling My PHILOSOPHY Enhancing your natural beauty lies at the heart of Wedding Hair Artistry. Every woman has a certain something – an essential quality unique only to her. It’s my mission to find those best features and highlight them, transforming you into the very best version of you for your most important day! Hair is probably the single most pliable and transformable feature we have. So deciding on your wedding look can seem like an incredibly defining and onerous task. The key to a long-lasting, natural looking hairstyle is taking advantage of your hair’s natural qualities. Thick hair is probably the most resistant to change and generally makes an attempt to revert to it’s original state by the end of the event. Thin hair may not be able to hold stiff styles throughout the duration of the wedding. Whilst these are the general behaviors of hair types, you also need to consider how well you know your own hair. Essentially, all hairstyles are variations of a few simple basics.
Here a few examples how old can be transformed into new and modern and that brides of today can incorporate this looks into their wedding day. Hope you will enjoy this and will see you all soon at my studio for your wedding hair makeover. Key West Wedding Hair and Makeup Artistry.
If you’ve ever looked for curly hairstyles online, you may have noticed something funny: curly wedding hairstyles, it would seem, are not actually for girls with curly hair. Almost all of them are straight hairstyles in disguise. Which is why for so many naturally curly-haired girls, formal hairstyles can be a nightmare.

For those of you with curly hair I highly recommend embracing the curl for your wedding day. In my experience In Key West hot and humid climate can be a challenge but with a correct choice of product and with help of a professional hair stylist your unruly curls can be controlled and styled beautifully.
You can lay a good foundation for that by using moisturizing and curl defining products. I love Kevin Murphy’s products for fine, curly, hair. I would use the Killer Curls defining creme or Motion Lotion on my damp hair after washing it and let it air dry.
When I working with a curly hair bride, the use of curling wand is a mast so it wouldn’t look unnatural, finishing with some intense smoothing serum to keep under control. It will help you not look like a total puff in photos.

Talk with your hairdresser a few weeks in advance, and ask for a product recommendation.
If you’re just getting started, I’d recommend Naturally Curly and Curly Girl as some good starting points. If you’re planning to transition to No-Poo from shampoo, I’d recommend giving it a month or so to transition and then finding a stylist through Naturally Curly’s directory. A curly haired stylist can help you find the best cut, styling products, and techniques to work with your individual curl pattern.
Have your hair trial done and have sum pictures to show your stylist, so that you’ll have a starting point!
On my opinion the rope twists work so much better than braids. They’re easier and stand out better for super dark hair.
Planning on wearing it down conceder wearing a headpiece it would keep the top of your hair under control/keep you from playing with your hair all night. The other suggestion is half up half down style.

For a hot summer day the up do is the way to go. If you not comfortable wearing your hair up at list conceder side swept do. Keeping your hair of your neck will help to feel cooler and prevent from looking as hot mess on your photos.
Best of luck!
