If you’ve ever looked for curly hairstyles online, you may have noticed something funny: curly wedding hairstyles, it would seem, are not actually for girls with curly hair. Almost all of them are straight hairstyles in disguise. Which is why for so many naturally curly-haired girls, formal hairstyles can be a nightmare.

For those of you with curly hair I highly recommend embracing the curl for your wedding day. In my experience In Key West hot and humid climate can be a challenge but with a correct choice of product and with help of a professional hair stylist your unruly curls can be controlled and styled beautifully.
You can lay a good foundation for that by using moisturizing and curl defining products. I love Kevin Murphy’s products for fine, curly, hair. I would use the Killer Curls defining creme or Motion Lotion on my damp hair after washing it and let it air dry.

When I working with a curly hair bride, the use of curling wand is a mast so it wouldn’t look unnatural, finishing with some intense smoothing serum to keep under control. It will help you not look like a total puff in photos.

Talk with your hairdresser a few weeks in advance, and ask for a product recommendation.

If you’re just getting started, I’d recommend Naturally Curly and Curly Girl as some good starting points. If you’re planning to transition to No-Poo from shampoo, I’d recommend giving it a month or so to transition and then finding a stylist through Naturally Curly’s directory. A curly haired stylist can help you find the best cut, styling products, and techniques to work with your individual curl pattern.

Have your hair trial done and have sum pictures to show your stylist, so that you’ll have a starting point!

On my opinion the rope twists work so much better than braids. They’re easier and stand out better for super dark hair.

Planning on wearing it down conceder wearing a headpiece it would keep the top of your hair under control/keep you from playing with your hair all night. The other suggestion is half up half down style.

For a hot summer day the up do is the way to go. If you not comfortable wearing your hair up at list conceder side swept do. Keeping your hair of your neck will help to feel cooler and prevent from looking as hot mess on your photos.
